President Biden says Israel is willing to halt war during Ramadan if a hostage deal is reached, winter-like temperatures and storms are on the horizon for the Northwestern United States and Gov. Minnesota moves to pass marijuana legalization

Minnesota is slated to pass a marijuana bill once it reaches Gov. Tim Walz’s desk by the end of the legislative session. The bill was passed by the majority Democrat House and Senate and is now in committees, after which it will head to Walz’ desk, who has previously vowed to sign the bill.

U.S. Rep. George Santos has been charged with federal criminal offenses, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. Former President Donald Trump will return to CNN’s airwaves on Wednesday, joining the network for a two-hour town hall event. The late pop superstar Prince is being honored in Minnesota as the state renames a seven-mile stretch of highway after him.

A road trip to Mexico for cosmetic surgery veered violently off course when four Americans were caught in a drug cartel shootout, leaving two dead and two held captive for days. Germany’s defense minister voiced caution Wednesday over media reports that a pro-Ukraine group was involved in blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea last year. Immigration status will no longer disqualify more than 80,000 people from getting Minnesota drivers licenses under a bill signed by Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday.

Half of voters said inflation factored significantly, with groceries, gasoline, housing, food and other costs that have shot up in the past year. 1M Minnesotans, St. Thomas students to receive $487 in pandemic frontline pay

Minnesota will start sending out payments to more than 1 million Minnesotan frontline workers Wednesday, in an effort to recognize their work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every person who applied will receive an email by Wednesday informing them of whether or not they were approved, which has left some St. Thomas students “patiently waiting” for their email and others “excited” about the result.
