St. Thomas men’s hockey was swept during the CCHA playoffs after falling 3-2 on Friday and 8-2 on Saturday to No. 1 Minnesota State Mankato at Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in Mankato. The sweep put an end to the Tommies’ inaugural Division I season.
The St. Thomas women’s basketball team lost 83-42 to South Dakota State Saturday at Schoenecker Arena. The St. Thomas men’s hockey team defeated Lake Superior State 2-1 Friday at St. Thomas Ice Arena and lost 5-1 against the Lakers Saturday at home. Junior defender Trevor was named the Central Collegiate Hockey Association’s Defenseman of the Week for the week of Oct. 25-30.
Junior defender Trevor Zins scored his first career goal for the St. Thomas men’s hockey team, but it wasn’t enough to give the Tommies their first win against Ferris State University in a 2-1 overtime match Friday at St. Thomas Ice Arena in Mendota Heights.
