Ex-Gopher Omersa finds new home with old friends at St. Thomas

The University of St. Thomas’ men’s basketball team gained an important piece to its lineup on April 18 after a Twitter announcement from former University of Minnesota forward Jarvis Omersa, an incoming junior, who averaged a team high 1.3 steals per game before leaving the team due to personal health concerns surrounding COVID-19.

St. Thomas opposes ICE rule, aims to help international students

St. Thomas President Julie Sullivan announced Wednesday that the University of St. Thomas stands with its international students and seeks to change a Trump administration decision that will force international students to leave the country or transfer if their current school goes totally online this fall.
