The Tommies (18-2, 5-1) faced off at home against the Macalester Scots (12-9-2, 0-4) in a doubleheader Tuesday afternoon on Koch Diamond.
Macalester, which went into the first game without a MIAC victory, beat St. Thomas 5-2 in game one.
In the second game, St. Thomas started off hot, scoring two runs in the second inning and three in the third. Junior pitcher Kris Edwards threw five scoreless innings, giving him his fifth win of the season. Edwards gave up two runs late in the sixth inning, but the Tommies finished on top 5-2.
The Tommies take on Gustavus in another doubleheader Saturday in St. Peter.
