Kevin Sullivan, junior
Why he is running: “I’ve always wanted to try student government and with this being my last year here, I thought I’d give it a try.”
What he would do if elected: “If I was elected I would try to get more people involved with the student government and try to have more of a community feel to it, instead of just when we all get free T-shirts.”
Mike Orth, sophomore
Current position: Sophomore Class President
Why he is running: “After spending two years as class president, I’ve been lucky enough to hear a wide range of ideas that students want to see implemented here at St. Thomas. It’s important that we have strong student leaders who understand the pulse of the student body, while also having a great relationship with administrators. I believe I bring these traits and an uncommon energy to our student government that will give my fellow students the representation they deserve.”
What he would do if elected: “If elected, my top priority would be to make it easier for students to participate in their student government. That means more events where they get to communicate with their representatives. I would also strive for an improved dining system with the new Anderson Student Center and an overall healthier student population. If given the opportunity, I can’t wait to get started.”
