Elizabeth Tang, sophomore
Why she is running: “I am running for the WSNAC Neighborhood Senator position in hopes of maintaining the peace in our community between our surrounding neighbors and our students.”
What she would do if elected: “I would solve any problems the neighbors of St. Thomas have with any students and ensure that they do not have any more issues in the future. I want these residents to know that St. Thomas students are respectful, intelligent and caring people.”
Jared Scharpen, junior
Current position: Neighborhood Senator (WSNAC)
Why he is running: “I have served as this senator on USG for the past two years and gathered a strong interest in working toward a more civil and peaceful relationship between St. Thomas undergraduate students and the surrounding neighbors.”
What he would do if elected: “I would continue to work with the other student leaders on USG toward different campaigns that not only further educate St. Thomas off-campus undergrads but also make for a more positive experience living in the surrounding neighborhood.”
