Sara Narducci, freshman
Why she is running: “I’m a transfer student myself (I transferred this semester), so I know how it feels to come into some place totally new without really knowing anyone. I also really want to be a part of USG to try to make a difference in the St. Thomas community.”
What she would do if elected: “I want to make all transfer students feel welcome, and I want the transition to be smooth for them. I also want to continue to push the current initiative, which is to make the transfer orientation the exact same as the regular freshman orientation at the beginning of fall semester.”
Katie Nordyke, junior
Why she is running: “I’m running for this position because as a transfer student, I understand the key topics on transfers’ minds, as well as the issues that sometimes make being a transfer student difficult.”
What she would do if elected: “I would help transfer students understand the resources available to them including course petitioning [and] leadership opportunities, as well as help address other issues transfers may be facing.
