Undergraduate Student Government approved requests from two on-campus clubs for conference and competition funds and swore in two new members Sunday night.
Delta Sigma Pi requested $1,500 to attend a Leadership and Excellence Academics for Deltasigs provincial conference, which was approved. The Crew Team requested $1000 to attend a Twin Cities Experience Conference, which was also approved.
Junior Louis Sand was sworn in as USG’s executive vice president of financial affairs, replacing junior Annie George, who stepped down. Sophomore Adam Weinzetl was also sworn in as spirituality chair.
“Before today I kind of just had a title with nothing really behind it,” Weinzetl said. “Now it feels like the work is going to get started.”
Weinzetl said his main goal is to bring the different faith groups on campus together.
USG’s next meeting will take place on Sunday, Feb. 23.
